Our story
323 million people.One woman.20 kilometers.
This is where Feeding Asia began.
She walked 20 kilometersfor a bag of rice.

We were in the mountains of the Philippines. A feeding event, rice distributed to families in the highlands. Then we saw her.
She had walked 20 kilometers one way through mountain terrain. No car. No motorbike. On foot. To carry a single 25kg bag of rice back home to her family.
When she received it, she was overcome. Gratitude, relief, and joy broke across her face all at once. She wept.
That bag of rice meant her family would not go hungry that night, and that her children, who were chronically malnourished, would eat a meal that gave them strength for one more day.
We have thought about her every day since.
“She didn't walk 20 kilometers because she had no other choice. She walked because that bag of rice was the difference between her family eating and not eating. That moment didn't move us to pity. It moved us to build.”
This is not a resource problem. It's a will problem.
323 million people are going to bed hungry in Asia tonight.
Hunger is not simply a shortage of food. It is a failure of access, distribution, infrastructure, and opportunity: communities too remote, too overlooked, too unsupported for anyone to reach.
We built Feeding Asia to fix the systems.
We went back to filmwhat most people never see.

We traveled to Payatas, one of the largest informal settlements in Southeast Asia. We went to document what’s real: the pagpag economy, where families collect food from landfills to wash, recook, and eat. Not a last resort. A Tuesday.
We sat in homes built from scrap wood. We met children whose growth had been stunted by years without protein. We watched mothers make choices no mother should have to make.
We also saw what happened when a bag of rice was placed in someone’s hands. The shift. The relief. Joy, unguarded, in a place where it had no business being.
A system, not an event.
Other organizations deliver food. Feeding Asia builds the systems that keep feeding people long after the delivery truck leaves: five efforts that move communities from immediate relief to lasting food security.
How we workMonthly Family Feeding
$50 a month. A 25kg bag of rice helps feed a family of 4–6 for one month, delivered through local Feeding Asia Leaders.

Village & Harvest Events
Distribution combined with medical care, hygiene support, and other humanitarian aid, reaching entire communities and opening the door to ongoing local support.

School Feeding
Reliable meals help children stay focused, remain in school, and build a future beyond the cycle of poverty.

Rice Field Development
Locally managed rice fields create permanent food infrastructure, hiring and training local farmers to grow recurring harvests.

Distribution Center-Led Transformation
Local distribution centers identify the greatest needs, manage distribution, support families, and remain present long after the initial delivery.
